As things got tense between Congress and the Communist Party in Kerala over the gold smuggling case on Tuesday, police detained several members of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), a youth wing of the Communist Party of India(Marxist). The youth were trying to force their way into the Cantonment House, the official residence of the Opposition leader VD Satheesan.
